HISTORY OF bpcc

Boro Pregnancy Counseling Center (BPCC) began as a passion of one woman. Her goal was to meet the needs of women and men experiencing unplanned pregnancies in Brooklyn and Queens.  In 1989, she began to pray and BPCC was officially incorporated.  The foundation was laid through the early 90’s through several fundraising events, a network of supporters, and an office space.  BPCC served its first client in 1998. We have served over 545 clients from all 5 boroughs and over 20 countries around the world.   BPCC’s passion is to inspire life in those experiencing unplanned pregnancies through comprehensive, compassionate care.  To that end, we currently offer: free self-administered pregnancy tests and options counseling to those who suspect they may be pregnant; the Parent Empowerment Program which provides education and material support to prospective parents; and educational seminars and resources to the community.  As BPCC has grown and evolved, so have the needs of the community.  BPCC is actively planning and preparing to add limited obstetrical ultrasound for pregnancy confirmation.  We look forward to sharingthe inspiring truth that an unplanned pregnancy is not the end, it is only the beginning of a tremendous adventure!
